Helicopter tour on Mount Etna, the north-east crater
Etna helicopter tour to discover the north-east crater. This dates back to 1911, after a period of quiet, 1955 a rude awakening gave rise to a massive eruption that lasted 9 years!
Another eruption dates back to 1986 when a huge mushroom rose above the volcano and gave rise to yet another eruption overlapping the previous ones, increasing the complexity of the crater
Voragine Crater
The crater of Etna "Voragine" was generated by a volcanic eruption in 1945. This crater is nicknamed the pit crater due to its explosive eruptions. After years of inactivity, the Voragine crater woke up in 2013 and periodically continues its activity
Bocca Nuova
Etna generated this crater during the 1968 eruption. Originally the crater was only 8 meters large. But in 1983 the crater increased in size and became 330 meters. Since 1997 this crater, together with the Voragine crater, have been filled with lava and since then continue to offer a spectacle that can be seen for hundreds of kilometers.
